Du’as for when your sick
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
I can’t believe how difficult it is to find a du’aa for a sick person to say. Everything I found had to do with visiting the ill or for someone else to say but there’s almost nothing about being sick yourself. Anyway, I found these hadeeths that I thought may be of interest to you insha’Allah 🙂 The second one has a du’aa in it… I think it’s okay for you to say it for yourself iA.
PS – Remember to make lots of du’aa..
Dua of a sick person is readily accepted
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, ‘When you visit a sick person, then tell him to make dua for you, because his duas are (accepted readily) like the duas of the Angels.’ (Ibn Maajah)
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) has also said, ‘The dua of a sick person is not rejected until he recovers from his sickness.’ (Ibn Abiddunyaa)
Volume 7, Book 71, Number 638
Narrated ‘Abdul ‘Aziz:
Thabit and I went to Anas bin Malik. Thabit said, “O Abu Hamza! I am sick.” On that Anas said, “Shall I treat you with the Ruqya of Allah’s Apostle?” Thabit said, “Yes,” Anas recited, “O Allah! The Lord of the people, the Remover of trouble! (Please) cure (Heal) (this patient), for You are the Healer. None brings about healing but You; a healing that will leave behind no ailment.”
Hadrat Aa’isha (Radiyallaahu anha) relates that whenever Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) would become ill, he would recite the Mu’awwizaat (Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Naas) and then blow his breath over himself and rub his hands over his (auspicious) body. (Bukhaari and Muslim) She also says that when anyone in his family was sick, he would recite the Mu’awwizaat and blow onto the sick person’s body. (Sahih Muslim)
